  • San Antonio Spurs
    An American professional basketball team, San Antonio Spurs is from San Antonio, Texas. The team was founded in 1967 and currently are member of Southwest Division of Western Conference in the the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team paly their home games at AT&T Center, an indoor arena in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Gregg Popovich is the current head coach of the team.

    Spurs players are active members of the San Antonio community. Earlier the team was known as the Dallas Chaparrals but after missing the playoffs in the 1972-73 season the team was acquired by a group of 36 San Antonio businessmen and also renamed as Spurs. During the first few seasons in 1980s the Spurs continued with the records of 52-30 in 1980-81, 48-34 in 1981-82, and 53-29 in 1982-83 but still fail to win the NBA Championship.

    The Spurs finished the 1995-96 season with the record of 59-23. The Spurs finished both the seasons 2000-01 and 2001-02 with a record of 58-24. The team has won three championships (1999, 2003, 2005), three conference titles (1999, 2003, 2005) and fifteen division titles (1978, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1990, 1991, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006).

    During 2004-05 season, the team won NBA Championship after defeating Detroit Pistons, 4-3. The team finished the 2005-06 season with the record of 63-19 and during playoffs after winning first round Spurs were eliminated in the second round by the Dallas Mavericks in a 7-game semifinal series. The team colors are: silver, white, and black.

  • San Antonio Rampage
    An ice hockey team, San Antonio Rampage is based in San Antonio, Texas. The team was founded in 2002 and plays at AT&T Center, an indoor arena in San Antonio, Texas, USA. San Antonio Rampage are currently a member of West Division of the Western Conference in the American Hockey League. Pat Conacher is the current head coach of the team.

    In the June of 2005, the Rampage shifted its affiliation from the Florida Panthers to the Phoenix Coyotes. The team finished its first season with the record of 36-29 and 30-42 in 2003-04, 27-45 in 2004-05 and 23-50 in 2005-06. The team colors are: black and grey. The logo of the Rampage consists of silver bulls head puffing smoke out its nose.

  • San Antonio Missions
    A minor league baseball team, San Antonio Missions is based in San Antonio, Texas. The team was established in 1968 and play their home games at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium was built in 1994 and seats 6300 fans. The Missions are currently member of the South Division in the Texas League and the AA affiliate of the San Diego Padres major-league club.

    The team has won two league titles one in 2002 and other in 2003. The Missions mascot’s name is "Ballapeño". The Missions are owned by a organization called the Elmore Sports Group. The team wears uniforms of colors: white, gold and black. The team’s logo consists of a Alamo with a baseball flying above it and team name below.

    During 2006 season, the team finished with the record of  60-77 and featured 52 different players over the course of the season. In September of 2006, the Missions signed a two-year player development contract with the the San Diego Padres. Earlier the Seattle Mariners had a player development contract with the team i.e. from 2001 to 2006.
